In Search of Worthiness
Every now and then something happens to totally alter a persons way of thinking. Sometimes it can be subtle, and often times it comes riding on a title-wave of trauma and change. For those of you wondering why anyone would be searching for worthiness, take a good look at yourself. If you have never felt lonely, never felt inadequate, never been confused, never had an inkling of insecurity, and your self esteem has never been in question, than I take my hat off to you. You must be truly blessed. Reality for me was that I lived in a world where fantasy was sometimes easier to tolerate then the realities of living. Caught up in what the idea of normal was, the expectations of other people, and the confines of the teachings of society, I found myself lost and unreachable. The most difficult thing in the world to do is to define something for which you yourself have no understanding of the meaning. In Search of Worthiness is a book of helpful techniques to help those experiencing a similar quest, (and those who should be on a similar quest) to strengthen and build their own self esteem, and find ways to develop and increase their self-knowledge. It is not a teacher’s manual, nor is it a educational thesis, but the personal findings (discoveries), helpful suggestion, and step by step exercises used by the writer to increase their own self esteem. In each chapter you will encounter both the circumstances and the experiences that challenged the writer, and learn the methods used to overcome the adversities. Also included is a Bibliography filled with the literature that was both helpful and uplifting during the authors times of discouragement. Coming Unraveled
Dear Dairy …..On a day like today when I don’t know whether I’m coming or going, the last thing I need to have to deal with is any appearance issues. I have a pimple, I don’t have any make-up on, I broke my shoe laces, and my outfit is a reproduction. On top of all that I suddenly have female issues. My boyfriend is a complete jerk, my parents don’t understand me , and my best friend is moving away….

Coming Unraveled is a diary styled story about a teen girl dealing with early female issues, developing coping skills, and dealing with self esteem or identity issues. This book is not designed to preach, or correct teaching, but to assure teens that they are not alone in dealing with growing up issues. Communicating with teens is one of the most difficult tasks in parenting. Developing an affective way of conveying information is of value to both the teen and the parent. Coming Unraveled will not solve the problems or stop them from existing, however it may make them more understandable.
