Ghetto Girl Blue, at first sight, a small, attractive, California (ex) housewife, reveals by a closer look a loving and dedicated mother, a sympathetic and compassionate friend, and a socially conscious adult. But with a deeper look something else becomes apparent. The product of an East Oakland and foster family upbringing, along with the genetic heritage passed down from her Irish mother and West Indian (Black) father all combine to create what seems from outside to be a calm, Berkeley style, free spirited, compromising individual. That is until that deeper look reveals a creative energy and innovation that hits with the power of gale force winds, unveiling the existence of a presence with such magnitude that it could be housed in such a small package is itself a wonder. A gifted writer, GGB’s journalistic skills have been exhibited here as well as in the publications Hipno, Huh, The San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Source, Roots, The Oakland Tribune, and the Washington Post, among others. Her literary accomplishments include Punany; the Hip Hop Psalms and Verbal Penetration, erotica books with safer sex and Aids awareness messages, AKA Deadman, a mystery novel, Blue Punany, Speak the Unspeakable, Ghetto Girl Blue Black Words Soft Spoken, and Bid Whis, a full length screen play.

MT Promises
M. T. is the mysterious male counterpart of DJ Blackmon. He is a manifestation of all of the things men have been in her life and all she would have liked for them to be. He is the laid back, Mack talking, educated, smooth, quick thinking, glib tongued, hustle always on brother, whose words have both smitten and repulsed women. His sensuality, equal to that of his counterpart, DJ Blackmon, drips easily into the poetry that has dubbed him a gentleman’s Serrano as he spins webs of collective lovisms, entangled with provocative prose designed to stimulate even the most chaste out of her intimate garments. He is a Knight in shining armor, armed with both his chauvinistic male ego, and a contrasting sensitivity that makes him lovable despite his obvious flaws.
